DC Wedding Tribute to Southern & Indian Roots

We are so fortunate to have the opportunity to create environments for so many unique couples and through their backgrounds have gained a vast knowledge base of traditions. Our bride  & Groom wanted to honor their backgrounds with subtle hints throughout each event and we were keen to make memorable statement pieces through all celebrations. Mini’s family has a South Indian heritage and Robert’s family is from the south. They hosted four celebrations in total, a Mehndi one afternoon and a Hindu ceremony, Christian ceremony, and reception the next day at the iconic Andrew Mellon Auditorium. From a designer’s perspective – our team and all other creative partners on this project had to flip and completely transform the Mellon auditorium three unique times in one day for their 250 guest celebration beginning at 5 am and the last setup completing at 7 pm. It was challenging at times but so worth every moment when you see the final product! Enjoy!
